The Executive Board of the All Indonesia Athletics Association considers the multi-year budgeting policy for national training camps to be an important step in building Indonesia's athletic achievements sustainably.
Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Indonesian Paralympic Games stated that a measurable sport like athletics requires a long, planned, and consistent development process to enable athletes to compete at the global level.
"For us at PASI, this is long-awaited good news. This policy demonstrates a shared awareness that sporting achievements cannot be built with a short-term approach," Luhut said in an official statement received in Jakarta on Saturday.
Luhut made the statement in response to President Prabowo Subianto's directive regarding the transformation of national sports policy, particularly regarding multi-year budgeting for national training and talent development from an early age.
