BRI Super League club Persija Jakarta officially announced its separation from midfielder Hanif Sjahbandi during the competition break leading up to the 2026/2027 season.
Quoted from a press release received the collaboration between Persija Jakarta and Hanif Sjahbandi ended after both parties agreed to end their collaboration early.
Hanif Sjahbandi actually still has a contract with Persija until July 2027, but the decision to separate had to be taken by both parties.
Persija Jakarta President Mohamad Prapanca expressed his appreciation for Hanif's hard work and dedication during his four seasons wearing the Kemayoran Tigers uniform.
Prapanca also praised the discipline, work ethic and fighting mentality that Hanif always displays when training and playing with Persija.
"We are proud to have played alongside Hanif, a player who consistently demonstrates high levels of commitment and dedication in every aspect of his career," said Prapanca.
"However, we have now chosen our separate paths. With his positive reputation, we believe Hanif will continue to develop and shine again at his new club," he said.
During his four seasons wearing the Persija uniform, Hanif brought his own color to the team's composition, in fact, he not only played as a midfielder, but was also often placed as a defender and was able to carry out his role well.
In his first season in the 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1, the player born in Bandung, April 7, 1997, appeared 28 times with a record of one goal and one assist .
The following season, his contribution increased, with three goals and three assists in 26 appearances. This consistent performance continued in the 2024/2025 season, when he made 33 appearances and scored two goals.
Meanwhile, in his final season in the 2025/2026 Super League, he had to be sidelined for more time due to a knee injury, so he only recorded 11 appearances with a contribution of three assists .
