The Criminal Research Unit of the Metro Police has officially arrested a man with the initials ADG (30) who is suspected of destroying shophouse facilities on Jalan Terusan Kelapa Hibrida, Sukapura, Cilincing.
"ADG's legal status has been raised to suspect and he is currently being held at the North Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters detention center for further investigation," said Head of Public Relations for the Metro Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, when confirmed.
The perpetrator's detention began with the suspect's action of damaging the Yummy Coin Shophouse facility on Jalan Terusan Kelapa Hybrida, Sukapura, Cilincing.
Suspect ADG came to the victim's business premises, forced his way in, and committed unilateral damage. The incident resulted in the destruction of the shop's neon sign , plaster walls, and chairs and sanitary facilities.
In addition to damaging the facilities, the suspect also carried out acts of intimidation by showing an airsoft gun tucked into his waistband to the shophouse security guard.
The suspect's actions continued. The suspect returned to the location and damaged the exterior of the victim's parked car.
Receiving a report from employees and shophouse security officers, Cilincing Police personnel immediately went to the location to secure the suspect without any physical friction, then handed over the handling to the Metro Police.
Budi added that based on the intensive investigation and the availability of evidence, including CCTV footage from the shophouse, statements from seven witnesses, and the confiscation of an airsoft gun , ADG confessed to all of his actions.
