Raducanu advances at Queen's Club, Eala ready to avenge Jovic defeat

Britain's Emma Raducanu has made a strong start to her grasscourt season, while Filipina Alexandra Eala is set to face American Iva Jovic in the second round of the Queen's Club tournament in London.

Raducanu dominated Anna Blinkova 6-0, 6-3 in her first-round match. It was the world number 42's first victory on the WTA Tour since Indian Wells in March.

"I felt like I started the match really well. Even though I didn't play many matches, I was happy with the way I played and how relaxed I was," Raducanu was quoted as saying by the WTA on Wednesday.

"I enjoyed the atmosphere of the match and everything felt like it was flowing naturally."

After reaching the third round at Indian Wells, Raducanu was sidelined due to illness and only returned to play in Strasbourg.

However, he failed to win his opening matches in Strasbourg or Roland Garros before appearing at Queen's Club this week.
