The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections is educating students at the Tahfizh Darul Quran Islamic Boarding School in Tangerang, Banten, about preventing human trafficking and human smuggling.
This educational activity is part of the Immigration Assisted Village program implemented by the Tangerang Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office on Thursday.
Head of the Tangerang Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office, Hasanin, said that his office is targeting a number of educational facilities such as Islamic boarding schools, high schools (SMA), and universities in the Immigration Assisted Village program which focuses on preventing human trafficking and trafficking in persons.
"We see the potential of the Darul Quran Islamic Boarding School, attracting young people not only from high school but also from college. Its purpose is to educate people of productive age who are vulnerable to activities that could potentially lead to human trafficking," said Hasanin.
The Islamic boarding school run by Ustadz Yusuf Mansur was the second Islamic boarding school visited by Immigration officers out of the seven targeted Islamic boarding schools in Tangerang that would be educated about preventing TPPO/TPPM.
Hasanin explained that the Immigration Assisted Village program is one of 15 strategic programs from the Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Agus Andrianto.
