The Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia is maintaining the integrity of judicial personnel throughout Indonesia by holding the 2026 Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Cup national team tennis championship in Malang City, East Java, from June 12-16.
"I believe that if we can continue to maintain the spirit of sportsmanship and integrity, the Indonesian judiciary will become stronger and more trusted by the public," said Supreme Court Chief Justice Sunarto when opening the championship, according to an official statement received in Malang City on Saturday.
The championship was attended by 1,022 participants from among judges, judicial officials, and government employees with work agreements (PPPK) within the judicial environment throughout Indonesia, who were grouped into 71 men's teams and 52 women's teams.
According to Sunarto, sport has taught many things that can be used as guidelines for judicial personnel in carrying out their duties, namely discipline, hard work, responsibility and commitment.
"These values are also needed to build a modern, professional, and trustworthy judicial institution," he said.
