Trump to meet with three Arab leaders in France on Tuesday... Netanyahu absent from the scene

Israeli media reports on Saturday indicated that US President Donald Trump will hold separate meetings with three Arab leaders next Tuesday in France, on the sidelines of the G7 summit, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is confirmed to be absent from these meetings.

Channel 12 quoted a senior US official as saying that “Netanyahu will not attend” the trip to France, without revealing the reasons behind this absence.

Israeli journalist Barak Ravid revealed, via the “X” platform, the identity of the Arab leaders concerned, indicating that the American president will meet separately with the leaders of Qatar, Egypt and the UAE.

These moves coincide with the start of the G7 summit next Monday in the French city of Evian, which will last three days. Middle Eastern issues, particularly the future of relations with Iran, are expected to feature prominently on the sidelines of the summit.

Netanyahu's absence coincides with strong indications of a US-Iranian rapprochement, as Trump announced that the agreement with Tehran will be signed tomorrow, Sunday , and that the Strait of Hormuz will be opened immediately upon its signing.

It is worth noting that the United States and Israel launched a war against Iran on February 28, to which Tehran responded by targeting the Israeli heartland and American interests in the region, before the two sides succeeded in reaching a temporary ceasefire on April 8.

The G7 group includes the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Japan, and annually discusses the most prominent economic, security, and political issues on the international stage.
