At Dallas Stadium, Arlington, Thursday, England defeated Croatia, who had put up a tough fight in the first half after two goals scored by Harry Kane (P 12', 42') were equalized twice by Martin Baturina (36') and Petar Musa (45+5').
After twice equalizing their lead, the Three Lions played more solidly in the second half. They added goals to close out the match with a 4-2 scoreline through Jude Bellingham (47') and Marcus Rashford (85').
This victory puts England at the top of Group L with three points, ahead on goal difference over Ghana who beat Panama 1-0 at Toronto Stadium in the final minutes through a goal from Caleb Yirenkyi (90+5').
This narrow defeat leaves Panama in third place, slightly better than fourth-placed Croatia.
