Monaco created a surprise by defeating hosts PSG with a tight score of 2-1 in the third week of the French League at the Parc des Princes Stadium, Paris, according to Ligue 1 records.
In that match, Marquinhos actually managed to put PSG ahead thanks to a goal he scored in the 31st minute.
Despite being behind in the first half, Monaco was able to bounce back and turn things around thanks to goals scored by Flavio Nazinho (58') and Stanis Idumbo (72') in the second half.
The victory keeps Monaco firmly in first place in the French League standings with a perfect nine points from three matches.
On the other hand, the defeat dropped PSG to 12th place in the French League standings with two points from three matches, still without a win this season.
Meanwhile, Lyon secured a victory after defeating Auxerre with a landslide score of 3-0 in the third week of the French League at the Groupama Stadium, Decines-Charpieu.
Lyon secured victory in that match thanks to goals scored by Felix Bacher, Zachary Athekame and Ernest Nuamah, while Auxerre reduced the deficit through Cameron Archer.
The result means Lyon now sit second in the French league table with seven points from three matches, just two points behind leaders Monaco.
On the other hand, the defeat has seen them sink further to the bottom of the French League standings after suffering consecutive defeats in the first three weeks.
