Indonesia is in Group F of the 2029 Asian Cup Pre-Qualifiers Round 2 along with Malaysia, Thailand, Mongolia, Fiji, and Hong Kong, competing for four tickets to the 2029 Asian Cup Qualifiers, through a series of tournaments held from November to December.

The FIBA website, Wednesday, stated that Yudha Saputera and friends secured a place in Round 2 after being one of three teams that qualified from Group C in Round 1 which was held in Seremban, Malaysia, at the end of August. Indonesia qualified along with hosts Malaysia and Hong Kong.
All participants bring the results of the matches obtained in Round 1 and then face teams from other groups in a round robin format.
Round 2 is scheduled to start on November 23 to December 1, 2026.
The four best teams from each group will advance to the 2029 Asian Cup Qualification phase.
