Nathan Barki is Indonesia's mainstay in the ITF M15 Bali quarter-finals

Indonesian men's singles tennis player Nathan Barki became the only host representative to advance to the quarterfinals of the fifth series of the ITF World Tennis Tour M-15, Amman Mineral Men's World Tennis Championship 2026, after eliminating the top seed from New Zealand, Anthon Shepp.
Nathan, who is 21 years old, surprisingly defeated the ATP number 499 in two straight sets 6-4, 6-3 in a match that lasted one hour and 10 minutes at the Bali Beach Country Club.

"It was a tough match against an opponent like Anthon Shepp, who has a powerful serve and aggressive game. However, with composure and strategic precision, I managed to defeat him," Nathan said.

Facing Shepp, who played aggressively and relied on powerful serves, Nathan opted for a patient game with careful ball placement. This strategy effectively dampened his opponent's attacks and gave him a 6-4 lead in the first set.

The Indonesian tennis player managed to maintain his game in the second set. Shepp, struggling to develop his game, began to grow frustrated and made several unforced errors, ultimately losing 3-6.
