German journalist Christian Falk confirmed in Bild newspaper: "This is not true. Bayern Munich is focused on negotiations to renew the contract of its striker Harry Kane."
He added: "The talks are progressing well and the club believes the Englishman will make his decision after the international break. If he signs a new two-year contract, perhaps with an option for a third year, Kompany will already have a very special player in that position."
He added: "It should not be forgotten that signing a player like Haaland is not just about the value, but also includes the salary. It is unusual for Bayern to be inclined to pay salaries equivalent to what he receives at Manchester, where he earns an estimated 35 million euros."
He continued: "It's an extremely high cost even before you calculate the transfer fee. Even if he becomes available on a free transfer, the club will still be required to pay a signing bonus to the player, so Bayern is currently just monitoring the situation."
He concluded: "Despite their great admiration for Erling Haaland, like all European clubs, they are so happy with Harry Kane that there is no room to sign Haaland, either technically on the field or financially regarding the salary scale."
It is worth noting that there are press reports indicating that Bayern Munich has reached an agreement with Harry Kane regarding renewing his contract for the next two seasons, specifically until 2029.
