Indonesia and Egypt sign MoU on diplomatic and maritime affairs

The Indonesian and Egyptian governments agreed on a number of memorandums of understanding during a bilateral meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, including in the fields of diplomacy, maritime affairs, and fisheries.

In a joint statement at the Merdeka Palace, President Prabowo and President el-Sisi witnessed the memorandum of understanding signed by Indonesian Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir and Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty regarding the Strategic Partnership Action Plan.

"I am confident, and based on the very intensive and productive discussions we had, that Your Majesty's visit this time will be an important milestone in strengthening this partnership," said President Prabowo.

The two Heads of State also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic Passports, Service and Special Passports and on Statistics.

In addition, the Indonesian Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, and the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, also displayed a signed memorandum of understanding on Maritime Affairs.
