PSSI condemns violence against Persib U18

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) strongly condemns the violence experienced by the Persib U18 team, which had just participated in the Elite Pro Academy  tournament.
In his official statement, PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi, expressed his regret, regret and concern over the alleged attack on the Persib U18 team at the Batang KM 360 Rest Area.

The incident resulted in a Persib media member experiencing physical violence, while the Persib EPA group bus was damaged, and a number of suitcases belonging to officials and players were looted.

"The PSSI emphasizes that the safety of all football fans, including national team and club supporters, must be a priority. In line with FIFA's commitment, everyone who comes to watch football must be able to return home safely," Yunus said.

"PSSI is deeply concerned, and this is something that is difficult to comprehend rationally, as this incident first affected young players, namely the Elite Pro Academy of Persib Bandung," he added.

Yunus said the young Persib players knew nothing about rivalry, as they played football purely with passion for both personal and club interests. Their passion, Yunus added, should be respected by everyone.

"This is unreasonable, what these people are doing is so vicious, committing criminal acts," said Yunus.
