Agustiar emphasized that this type of communication, which is carried out directly with the community, can be a strategic means of identifying various obstacles and needs in the field.
He often receives various aspirations from the community, ranging from requests for educational assistance, health services, business capital assistance and various others.
In addition to gathering input, the governor also sought to understand the needs of residents. The activity also included the distribution of 600 food aid packages, Direct Cash Assistance (BLT) from the Huma Betang Sejahtera (KHBS) Card to 116 beneficiary families (KPM), free health checks, and the distribution of masks and vitamins.
Agustiar emphasized that social assistance distribution must be targeted based on accurate and verified data. Assistance must be provided to those truly entitled to receive it.
"If there are still residents in need who haven't been registered, please report them to the sub-district office so they can be verified according to the regulations," he said.
During this time, amidst the ongoing handling of forest and land fire incidents, the governor also often takes the time to meet with residents in various regions to greet and discuss matters, both in urban areas and remote rural areas.
Central Kalimantan Regional Secretary Linae Victoria Aden added that her office continues to strengthen coordination between regional agencies in implementing social assistance programs and public services.
