Two wins are the capital for the table tennis players to face 51 matches

The Indonesian para table tennis team used two wins on the first day of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Para Games as capital to face a more packed schedule with 51 matches the following day.

"Today there are only three matches, and tomorrow there are 51 more matches for the other players. Hopefully, we can reach our target of four bronze medals in this event," said Indonesian table tennis coach Bayu Widhie Hapsara Purba after the match at Sky Hall Toyota on Friday.

Indonesia kicked off the competition by fielding three athletes in the singles event and recorded two wins through Adyos Astan and Leli Marlina.

Adyos, who competed in the men's singles TT4-5 classification, defeated Nepalese athlete Digam Chemjong with 11-1, 11-6, 11-3 in the Group F match.

Leli continued her positive run by defeating Cambodia's Saroung Sorn in the women's singles TT4-5 with a score of 11-4, 11-4, 11-5.

But Sella Dwi Radayana surrendered to Taiwanese athlete Shiau-Wen in the opening match of Group A of the women's singles TT10.
