Iranian leader Mojtaba Khamenei threatens retaliation against enemy military aggression

Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei stressed that Tehran would determine the "time and conditions" to end the conflict if its enemies launched another military attack.

"If the enemy once again launches a military or terrorist attack, it is the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation who will determine the time and conditions for their end," Khamenei said.

In the meeting, Iran's Supreme Leader instructed senior commanders to provide "an immediate and effective response, without geographical limitations, to potential enemy threats."

He also ordered an update of the target list to ensure that all United States and Israeli assets are “within the reach of armed forces.”

Mojtaba Khamenei's remarks came after Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akraminia warned earlier in the day that a second war would escalate if US President Donald Trump continued his "regional adventures" with Israel.

Tensions in the Middle East have continued to heat up since the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, to which Tehran responded with retaliatory attacks in the region.

Despite diplomatic efforts, with Washington and Tehran signing a peace deal last June, political tensions remain high due to differing views on security arrangements and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
