China once again demonstrated its dominance at the BWF World Tour Super 750 Japan Open 2025 by placing six representatives in the semifinals which will take place at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
China has representatives in almost every sport. Shi Yuqi represents the men's singles team, Wang Zhiyi in the women's singles team, two pairs in the women's doubles team: Liu Shengshu/Tan Ning and Jia Yifan/Zhang Shuxian, and two pairs in the mixed doubles team: Feng Yanzhe/Huang Dongping and Jiang Zhenbang/Wei Yaxin.
Malaysia secured four places through two men's doubles, Goh Sze Fei/Nur Izzuddin and Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi, one women's doubles Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan, and one mixed doubles Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei.
Host nation Japan also sent four representatives. Koki Watanabe represented the men's singles, Akane Yamaguchi and Riko Gunji in the women's singles, and Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida in the women's doubles.
