Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Nezar Patria stated that artificial intelligence (AI) technology and data have a crucial role as the key to transforming Indonesia's agricultural sector in the future.
He emphasized that for both to be optimally utilized, digital connectivity to rural areas is needed, which will serve as a foundation for creating modern, sustainable, and independent agriculture.
"To truly harness the power of AI and data, robust digital infrastructure is crucial, including equitable broadband access and inclusive digital platforms for farmers and agrifood businesses ," he said in a press statement in Jakarta on Monday.
This message was also conveyed by Nezar in an online seminar with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Gadjah Mada University from the Ministry of Communication and Information Office.
