Indonesian mixed doubles badminton players Jafar Hidayatullah and Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu have advanced smoothly to the quarterfinals of the 2025 BWF World Tour Super 1000 China Open.
Competing in the round of 16 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou, Thursday, Jafar/Felisha secured a convincing victory over Danish representatives Mads Vestergaard/Christine Busch in two straight games, 21-9, 21-15, according to the official BWF website.
Despite securing a ticket to the quarter-finals, Jafar admitted that he was still not satisfied and was ambitious to continue to advance to the semifinals.
"Thank God, we're grateful to have made it to the quarterfinals, but we're certainly not satisfied. We want more, we want to reach the semifinals. The real test is tomorrow, as our opponents will be even better," Jafar said in a statement after the match.
Meanwhile, Felisha revealed that in this match the Danish pair did not play as aggressively as their previous opponents in the round of 32, namely the Malaysian pair Soon Huat Goh/Shevon Jemie Lai.
