We have made great sacrifices." Araqchi: We will not accept any agreement that does not recognize Iran's right to enrich uranium

Araghchi stressed that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside the armed forces, will spare no effort in defending the legitimate and legal rights of the resistant Iranian people."

Tasnim reported that Araghchi wrote on his official Instagram account regarding his meeting yesterday with foreign ambassadors and representatives residing in Tehran: "Yesterday evening, during a meeting attended by ambassadors and senior foreign diplomats residing in Tehran, I clarified the principled and decisive positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding the recent aggression launched by the Zionist regime and the United States against our country."

He added, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in parallel with the armed forces, and relying on the firm will of the great Iranian people, will spare no effort to secure the legitimate and legal rights of the proud and steadfast Iranians."

Regarding the negotiations, Araghchi said: "In any negotiated solution, the Iranian people's nuclear rights must be respected, including the right to enrichment. We will not accept any agreement that does not recognize Iran's right to enrich uranium. We have made great sacrifices for enrichment, and war was imposed on us because of it. If negotiations take place, their subject will be the nuclear issue only, in exchange for lifting sanctions, and there will be no other issues up for negotiation."

He stressed, "Iran will maintain its military and defensive capabilities under all circumstances. These capabilities are defensive in nature and are not subject to negotiation in any way."

On June 13, Israel, with US support, launched a 12-day attack on Iran, targeting military and nuclear sites, civilian facilities, and the assassination of military leaders and nuclear scientists. The attack resulted in 606 deaths and 5,332 injuries, according to the Iranian Ministry of Health.

Iran responded by targeting Israeli military and intelligence headquarters with ballistic missiles and drones, a large number of which penetrated defense systems, causing unprecedented destruction and panic, as well as 28 deaths and 3,238 injuries, according to the Ministry of Health and Hebrew media.

As Iran responded to Israel's missile attacks, inflicting heavy losses, the United States attacked Iranian nuclear facilities, claiming the "end" of its nuclear program. Tehran responded by bombing the U.S. Al-Udeid military base in Qatar. Washington then declared a ceasefire between Tel Aviv and Tehran on June 24.
