Cars burned during the early morning hours in Tijuana polling station areas.

Tijuana, June 2.—During the early hours of Sunday morning, several vehicles were set on fire in areas designated for polling stations in Tijuana.

The first incident was reported in the Lomas Residential Complex neighborhood, where a Molotov cocktail was thrown at a vehicle parked on Privada Ajusco Street around 1:00 a.m. The attack caused significant damage to the vehicle.

Two hours later, almost simultaneously, two more arson attempts were reported in Tijuana's so-called armored zone, also in areas designated for polling stations.

The first arson attempt occurred in front of Espiritualidad Park, on Lomas de Campestre Boulevard and Loreto Street in the Lomas de Agua Caliente neighborhood. In this attack, the criminals attempted to set fire to a Toyota Sequoia.

No injuries were reported in any of these cases. So far, authorities have not arrested any suspects in connection with these attacks.

Local authorities have stepped up security measures in the areas where polling stations will be located to ensure a safe and orderly electoral process.
