Ensenada, September 6.- Due to a lack of materials and supplies, the Ensenada General Hospital (HGE) has suspended scheduled and elective surgeries, indicating that it will only perform emergency surgeries.
In a memorandum dated September 3, addressed to surgeons assigned to the institution, director Johann Galván de la Fuente assured that only urgent surgeries will be performed .
The document states: "By this means, and due to the current shortage of materials, supplies, equipment, and medications our unit is experiencing, scheduled and elective surgeries are suspended as of this date , and only emergency surgeries will be performed."
According to the media outlet El Vigía , after the publication of the document where Galván de la Fuente indicated the information, Isesalud issued a bulletin stating: "This is a service that will not be denied to anyone who needs it; in fact, interventions continue to be carried out, as long as they are classified as urgent . "
