Government agencies commit to eradicating gender-based violence in BC

Mexicali, May 19. Various government agencies signed a collaboration agreement for the implementation of the Violeta System , an initiative that seeks to prevent, address, punish, and eradicate violence against women.

The agreement was promoted by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and includes the participation of key agencies involved in the protection of women in vulnerable situations.

According to the signed document, the Violet System will strengthen inter-institutional ties to provide specialized protection to women , girls, and adolescents facing situations of violence.

The actions will be implemented with a gender and intersectional approach, which seeks to ensure comprehensive care that addresses the diverse realities and needs of victims.

Likewise, it seeks not only to address cases of violence, but also to prevent them through awareness-raising actions and community outreach.
