The Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) has announced it will donate all profits from its World Cup qualifying match against Israel on October 11 to humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Norwegian Football Federation President Lise Klaveness said her organization could not remain neutral in the face of the long-running humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Klaveness emphasized that the profits from ticket sales for the match against Israel will be channeled to humanitarian organizations actively providing emergency relief in Gaza.
"We want to donate the proceeds to humanitarian organizations that are saving lives and providing emergency aid on the ground every day," Klaveness said, as quoted by ESPN.
Ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers at Ullevaal Stadium in Oslo will begin next week.
According to reports, the stadium's usual capacity of 26,000 spectators is expected to be reduced by around 3,000 tickets due to additional security measures. The NFF stated that it has coordinated with UEFA and local police to ensure the security of the match.
