According to the court ruling, issued by Juan José Chávez Montes, a District Judge specializing in the Accusatory Criminal System at the Federal Criminal Justice Center in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, the judge accepted that the defendant and his defense had met the requirement of posting a 2 million peso bond, which was required to grant the change of precautionary measure and allow him to face the criminal proceedings inFreedom.
It was also reported that during the hearing, the contract signed with Sistemas ACAO Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable and Elisa Burgos Ortega for the placement of the electronic bracelet locator was exhibited.
The defense also handed over Meza Cumplido's U.S. visa and passport to the Attorney General's Office (FGR).
