The Energy Commission will rule on Jaime Bonilla's summons for debt to CFE.

Mexico City. With 18 days remaining until the end of Jaime Bonilla 's administration , the Chamber of Deputies' Energy Committee must address the motion with a point of agreement presented this afternoon by Baja California representative Leslie Estefanía Rodríguez Sarabia , urging the Baja California government to fundamentally resolve the debt owed to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

The seven-hour, two-minute session featured two rounds of initiatives and 16 proposals with points of agreement. The members of the Congress of the Union's five bicameral committees were also announced. Héctor Irineo Mares Cossío will chair the National Security committee.

Estefanía Rodríguez , who will turn 24 in a few days, is a representative for Baja California under the principle of proportional representation for the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) and serves on the Youth Committee, as well as the Environment and Natural Resources Committee.

Speaking from the podium, he said the situation in Baja California is serious, as the CFE (Federal Electricity Commission) reported "through a public document that it was forced to cut off the power supply to the Mexicali Water Commission" due to a debt of more than 166 million pesos.

He noted that the state government has collected more than 1.8 billion pesos in water debts, of which more than 360 million have been given to the Fisamex company in the form of commissions.
