The Ministry of Communication and Digital is collaborating with Brawijaya University in implementing the AI Talent Factory Program to produce digital talent in the field of artificial intelligence ( AI ).
Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto, Head of the Human Resources Development Agency at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology, stated that the program includes advanced AI training with guidance from experts.
"This is an initiation or pilot project for the development of the AI Talent Factory. This program will certainly produce digital talent, but it's not for beginners or intermediate levels. It's for practitioners guided by experts," he said at the Brawijaya University campus in Malang, East Java, on Thursday.
The AI Talent Factory program, he said, aims to develop talent in the AI field and generate practical solutions related to the use of AI to increase the digital economy's contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Brawijaya University is the first university to be partnered with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Technology in implementing this program.
Bonifasius hopes that further collaboration in implementing the AI Talent Factory Program can be carried out with other universities in Java and outside Java.
"This is important, so that economic growth will be evenly distributed across various regions," he said.
