Tijuana, September 26.- The Tijuana State Public Services Commission (CESPT) is carrying out the second phase of the rehabilitation of the sanitary sewer system in the Magisterial neighborhood. This project will initially benefit approximately 1,300 residents, improving their quality of life by ensuring a more efficient and reliable drainage system.
CESPT Director Jesús García Castro conducted a supervisory tour of this project, highlighting an investment of more than 15.9 million pesos, financed with the utility's own resources, and expected to be completed in January 2025. This will allow residents to enjoy a modern and efficient healthcare system.
Project
The state official said the comprehensive project includes the installation of 8-inch polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sanitary piping, covering a total length of 2,866 meters. Additionally, the project includes the construction of 25 manholes and the installation of 350 residential flush toilets to meet the needs of a neighborhood experiencing constant population growth. He mentioned that the project is currently 30 percent complete.
García Castro stated that this project responds to the governor's mandate to improve service for all users. During his tour of the project, he shared details with the community and invited them to care for and use the drainage system properly. This will ensure its optimal functioning and extend its useful life by up to 30 years, thus minimizing potential impacts resulting from its use.
