Indonesia U-23 line-up: Jenner captain, Mauro spearhead
The Indonesian U-23 national team fielded its best lineup in an international friendly match against Mali U-23 at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor, Saturday night.
In the match titled International Friendly Match , coach Indra Sjafri again entrusted two diaspora players, Ivar Jenner (Jong Utrecht) and Mauro Zijlstra (FC Volendam) to lead the Garuda Muda game from the start.
The presence of Ivar and Mauro has been a major highlight. Ivar Jenner is trusted as the team captain and tempo control in midfield, while Mauro Zijlstra is deployed as the spearhead to maximize Indonesia's attacking aggression.
Both of them are symbols of the combination of players of descent and local young talent promoted by Indra Sjafri.
