Thai giant club Buriram United officially released Indonesian national team player Shayne Pattynama on Friday, with rumors suggesting the player would join one of the BRI Super League contestants, namely Persija Jakarta.
"Buriram United Football Club would like to thank Shayne Pattynama for his commitment and professionalism during his time at the club. We wish him every success in his career and all the best for his future endeavors," Buriram wrote on its official Instagram account on Friday.
Pattynama only spent half a year at Buriram after joining from KAS Eupen in July of last year. During his time at Buriram, the left-back made 10 appearances in all competitions, providing three assists.
Pattynama's last appearance for Buriram came on January 14 in a 4-0 victory over Pattani FC in the Thai FA Cup. He came on as a substitute and played for around 25 minutes.
Now, rumors are circulating linking him to the Kemayoran Tigers, who are strengthening their squad in the second round of the Super League. Mauricio Souza's team has already signed three new players in the second round and is rumored to be adding more, including Pattynama.
