The Indonesian para-shooting team won one silver and one bronze medal at the 2025 ASEAN Para Games held at the Shooting Range, His Majesty the King's 80th Birthday Anniversary Stadium, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on Friday.
Indonesia's silver medal was won by Jannah in the women's 10-meter air pistol SH1 P2 event with a score of 216.8 points. Singaporean athlete Goh Rui Si Theresa won gold with 220.0 points, while another Indonesian, Triyanti, won bronze with 198.0 points.
These results complement the consistent performances of both Indonesian athletes since the qualifying round. In the qualifying round, Jannah and Triyanti both finished in the top three, recording scores of 551-9 and 543-7, respectively.
Indonesia's para-shooting team was also represented by Askisimon Reiner William John in the men's P1 10-meter air pistol SH1 final. However, Askisimon had to settle for fifth place with 160.7 points.
The gold medal in the men's P1 10-meter air pistol SH1 event was won by Singaporean athlete Chan Han Siong with a score of 229.1 points, followed by Thai athlete Suksaard Pawaris who won silver, and Bunsukweerawat Saknarin who took home bronze.
Meanwhile, in the women's P2 10-meter air pistol SH1 event, the competition was tight from the first round to the final, with Singaporean and Indonesian athletes dominating the top of the standings.
This achievement of one silver and one bronze adds to the contribution of the shooting branch which in the previous two days had collected five bronzes.
