South Kalimantan's SOIna selects 150 disabled athletes for the 2026 NTT PeSONas

 





 Special Olympics Indonesia South Kalimantan selected around 150 athletes with intellectual disabilities from 12 districts/cities through the Regional Special Olympics Week towards the 2026 National Special Olympics Week in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara.

"The provincial government fully supports the development of athletes with intellectual disabilities through competitions and ongoing development programs," said Pebriadin Hapiz, Head of the South Kalimantan Youth and Sports Agency in Banjarbaru, Saturday.

The South Kalimantan PeSODa is currently taking place from June 12-16 and is being held as a forum to measure the results of the development of athletes with intellectual disabilities in the region in order to recruit representatives who can be prepared for the 2026 PeSONas.

According to Pebriadin, the event also expands opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to develop their potential and achieve success in the field of sports.
