Home Affairs Minister Muhammad Tito Karnavian urged the Election Organizers' Honorary Council to continue improving the integrity of election organizers to prevent ethical violations in the democratic celebration.
"I support the DKPP in continuing to improve its integrity and think more progressively, especially in developing a preventative approach," said Tito at the DKPP office.
This was conveyed by Tito when giving a speech at the 14th anniversary of the DKPP.
Tito said that these efforts could be carried out by strengthening the prevention aspect, in line with the expression keep them out of jail .
He assessed that the institution needed to pay attention to a preventative approach in order to minimize the potential for violations in the future.
"So, success isn't about making the most decisions and finding errors, but about people not going to jail for violations. Therefore, prevention principles may be necessary," he said.
On the other hand, Tito encouraged the DKPP to strengthen the capacity of law enforcement officers in handling election administration issues.

According to him, the number of election organizers spread across various regions requires adequate education so that violations can be prevented early on.
In addition, support for facilities and infrastructure also needs to be prepared so that the DKPP can carry out its organizational duties and functions optimally.
As an institution tasked with maintaining election ethics, the Minister of Home Affairs hopes that the DKPP can continue to play an active role in efforts to prevent violations.
In this context, the DKPP can take various corrective measures to address various potential problems that could lead to violations in the implementation of elections.
On the same occasion, the Minister of Home Affairs also commended the smooth running of the elections in Indonesia. As the world's third-largest democracy, Indonesia faces significant complexities in administering elections.
However, he emphasized that elections are an important symbol in democratic life.
"Why? It's the only opportunity for everyone who has the right to vote . It's the only way to participate in important decision-making. Everything else is done through representatives," he said.
