The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that seven Palestinians, including children and women, were killed as a result of the occupation's bombing of a house and a kindergarten in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip, this morning, Thursday.
A Palestinian child was also killed and others were injured when the occupation forces bombed a tent housing displaced persons in the Al-Barakah area of Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
In the southern Gaza Strip, a man and his pregnant wife were killed, and others were injured, when an Israeli drone bombed a gathering of civilians south of Khan Yunis. Meanwhile, the body of a Palestinian was recovered following an earlier Israeli bombardment of the town of Abasan al-Jadida, east of Khan Yunis.
A number of Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation forces' gunfire near an aid distribution center in the so-called "Morag Axis" southwest of Khan Yunis.
On Wednesday evening, WAFA reported that five Palestinians, including Al-Quds Al-Youm TV journalist Moataz Mohammed Rajab, were killed in Gaza City when Israeli forces targeted a vehicle on Al-Nafaq Street. A Palestinian child was also killed in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood in the eastern part of the city.
Two other Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces shelling Bani Suhaila near Khan Yunis, while another was killed in airstrikes on neighborhoods in Khan Yunis.
"Humanitarian disaster"
In the same context, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor published an infographic last night, Wednesday, stating that 31% of the victims of the genocide in the Gaza Strip are children, and 21% of them are women.
The Observatory confirmed that 9 out of 10 people killed by Israel over the course of 19 months of genocide were civilians, noting that 98% of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been forcibly displaced at least once, the vast majority of whom were forced to relocate to temporary schools and tents.
The observatory stated that the genocide left approximately 43,600 orphans across the Gaza Strip.
Regarding the extent of Israeli destruction in the Gaza Strip, the Observatory stated that 80% of buildings were destroyed or damaged, and 90% of hospitals, schools, and universities were destroyed or severely damaged.
The human rights observatory reported that the daily per capita water share decreased by 99% as a result of the widespread Israeli destruction of water infrastructure.
Meanwhile, 98% of Palestinians in Gaza face high levels of "acute food insecurity," and 100 deaths, including 42 children, have been documented due to severe malnutrition.
Regarding Palestinian detainees, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor stated that Israel is detaining and hiding approximately 4,700 Palestinians from Gaza in its prisons, subjecting them to various forms of torture, including "rape, sexual assault, electric shocks, spitting and urinating on detainees, strip searches, and premeditated killing under torture."
severe famine and siege
Meanwhile, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) announced in a statement on its X platform on Wednesday that several people suffering from severe hunger due to Israeli restrictions had stormed its warehouse in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, in search of food.
The statement added that according to initial reports, "two people lost their lives and many were injured as a result of the stampede of desperate crowds seeking food."
He stressed that "Gaza needs an immediate increase in food aid," emphasizing that "this is the only way to reassure people that they will not starve to death."
In turn, the UN and international humanitarian team in the occupied Palestinian territory, in a press release issued Thursday, called on Israel to treat civilians humanely and respect their inherent dignity, facilitate the delivery of aid, and refrain from forced transfers.
"We need a regular, large-scale flow of aid, through multiple crossings, to communities, as we have done before, and we need unhindered access," the humanitarian team said .
"We need to enable all humanitarian partners, including UNRWA, to provide supplies and, more importantly, services," the team added.
He explained that "supplies alone do not constitute an effective humanitarian response, as it is essential to ensure the continuity of service provision throughout Gaza without interruption."
Since October 7, 2023, Israel, with full American support, has been committing genocide in Gaza, leaving approximately 177,000 Palestinians dead or wounded, most of them children and women, more than 11,000 missing, and hundreds of thousands displaced.
