Mexico City, March 5.- Winds with gusts of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour are forecast for this Saturday in Baja California; gusts of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour in the northern Sea of Cortez, with dust storms in Chihuahua; gusts of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour on the western coast of Baja California Sur and Jalisco, with dust storms in Coahuila, Durango, and Sonora; gusts of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in Campeche, Nuevo León, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa, Yucatán, and Zacatecas; northerly winds with gusts of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour in the Gulf of Tehuantepec; southerly winds (Surada) with gusts of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour in Tamaulipas, and gusts of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in northern Veracruz.
Showers (five to 25 millimeters) are expected in Baja California and Quintana Roo, and isolated rains (0.1 to five millimeters) in Campeche, Chiapas, Coahuila, Colima, State of Mexico, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Nuevo León, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, Veracruz and Yucatán.
Conditions for sleet or snow will prevail in the Baja California mountain ranges and frost in Baja California, Chihuahua, Durango, the State of Mexico, Hidalgo, Puebla, Sonora, Tlaxcala, Veracruz, and Zacatecas.
During the afternoon, an anticyclone in the middle levels of the atmosphere will maintain a warm to hot environment in most of the Mexican Republic, maximum temperatures of 35 to 40 degrees Celsius in Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chiapas, Colima, northeast of Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Oaxaca, southwest of Puebla, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa, Tabasco, Veracruz, Yucatán and southern Zacatecas, and 30 to 35 degrees Celsius in Aguascalientes, Baja California, southeast of Chihuahua, Coahuila, Mexico City, southwest of the State of Mexico, Guanajuato, northern Hidalgo, Nuevo León, northern Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas and Tlaxcala.
