Trust from global publishers is a crucial factor in the growth of the local gaming industry in Indonesia, where one of the country's largest local game developers, Agate, said that the largest funding for developers currently comes from foreign business partners.
" Foreign publishers ' business is investing in game projects and generating revenue from them. Fortunately, we already have sufficient credentials, allowing us to build trust and collaborate," said Agate CEO and Co-Founder Shieny Aprilia at the 2025 Digital Transformation Summit.
According to her, many Indonesian game studios are now beginning to gain global recognition for the quality of their products. However, Shieny revealed that the industry's success still depends on developers' consistency in creating quality products.
