The Ministry of Communication and Digital is currently conducting outreach to digital platforms and giving them time to prepare child-friendly technology or features in their applications.
This, he said, is part of the implementation of Government Regulation Number 17 of 2025 concerning the Governance of the Implementation of Electronic Systems in Child Protection (PP Tunas).
"We realize that they (the platforms) need time to prepare the technology to detect their users, whether they are truly adults or still children," said Meutya when met at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, South Tangerang.
