The Ministry of Communication and Digital is drafting regulations governing the adoption of national artificial intelligence (AI), prioritizing regulations related to ethics and security.
"The first regulations we're expediting are those related to ethics and security. Those regulations governing the industry will be prepared later," said Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University in South Tangerang .
He explained that the government has prepared a White Paper on the National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap as an initial foundation for the country to embrace AI technology adoption. Going forward, the government will prepare several derivative regulations based on the White Paper.
