Mexicali, September 3. The Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) recognized 19 academic units across its three campuses for developing best practices in continuing education.
At the event "Best Practices in Continuing Education at UABC," the university's president, Luis Enrique Palafox, emphasized that continuing education is part of the Institutional Priority "Comprehensive, Flexible, and Lifelong Learning," and therefore it was necessary to recognize the academic units that have demonstrated best practices in offering programs in this area.
He also explained that the UABC has made significant progress with the creation of the Center for Continuing Education (CEC), improving the educational offering, unifying criteria, and reducing bureaucracy.
For his part, CEC coordinator David Guadalupe Toledo Sarracino explained that of the 19 academic units recognized, nine were recognized for their work in raising additional funds for the university, and the remaining 10 are related to flagship projects related to university social responsibility.
