The last angler who went missing while fishing at the entrance to Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang, Central Java, was found in the waters of Demak Regency on Thursday.
Head of the Demak Police Water Police Unit, AKP Sulkan, said the victim's body was found by two fishermen who were at sea.
"It was found by two fishermen, then evacuated to the Demak Water Police headquarters," he said.
According to him, officers together with Indonesian Navy personnel then conducted checks to ensure it matched the characteristics of the angler who was reported missing.
The characteristics of the body found matched that of a fisherman named Sumono who had not been found in the tragic incident.
After ensuring the physical characteristics and clothing were consistent, he said, the information was forwarded to Basarnas to carry out the evacuation back to their place of origin.
Previously, five anglers were reported missing after drowning due to bad weather while fishing around the entrance to Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang.The five people were part of 12 anglers who went fishing by renting a boat to the location of the sea accident.
The identities of the four anglers who were previously found were Febriyanto, Bagus Wicaksono, Pujo Margono, and Kiswanto.
