The Head of the Human Resources Development Agency of the Ministry of Communication and Digital , Bonifasius Wahyu Pudjianto, emphasized that the pace of digitalization has also encouraged the empowerment of the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative.
"Currently, the Merah Putih Village/Sub-district Cooperative is increasingly empowered in the digital era," said Bonifasius when visiting the Karangbesuki Sub-district Cooperative, Malang, East Java.
According to him, digitalization is an inseparable part of life, including running a business. He explained that digital business models are continuing to evolve from brick-and-mortar stores to online trading platforms.
"Then, it turned into the third evolution, social commerce , there was even live commerce , but in the future, it will return to being highly personalized, becoming personal commerce ," he said.
Communication platforms and social media are now also being used for promotions and transactions. Therefore, he believes cooperatives must keep up with digitalization developments to thrive and compete.
