The Ministry of Defense said President Prabowo attended the Rafale acceptance ceremony.
The Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) confirmed that President Prabowo Subianto will attend the acceptance ceremony for three new fighter jets belonging to the Indonesian Air Force, namely the Rafale.

However, the Ministry of Defense has not been able to confirm when the aircraft acceptance ceremony will be held.

"The official reception ceremony will be held at a later date, depending on the President's schedule and availability," said Brigadier General Rico Sirait, Head of the Defense Information Bureau of the Ministry of Defense's Secretariat General, when confirmed in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Currently, the three Rafale aircraft are at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base, Pekanbaru, Riau.

The aircraft had been perched there since being flown from France by Indonesian Air Force fighter pilots in mid-January 2026.

"Three Rafale fighter jets have arrived in Indonesia and are currently at Roesmin Nurjadin Air Force Base in Pekanbaru. Administratively and technically, the aircraft have been handed over and are ready for use by the Indonesian Air Force," Rico said.

With the Rafale fighter jets, he ensured that the Indonesian Air Force would be even stronger in guarding Indonesian airspace.

Previously, Indonesia was listed as one of the customers of the Rafale fighter jet produced by France.

The Ministry of Defense has reportedly purchased 42 Rafale fighter jets from Dassault Aviation France after the third phase of the purchase contract for the last 18 units came into effect.
