Unstable play caused Indonesian men's doubles pair Raymond Indra/Nikolaus Joaquin to fail in the first round of the 2026 Swiss Open after losing 17-21, 17-21 to Chinese Taipei pair Chen Cheng Kuan/Lin Bing-Wei at the St Jakobshalle, Basel.
This defeat brought Raymond/Joaquin's magical run to an early end after a surprising appearance as semifinalists at the 2026 All England.
"It was okay at the start, but we lost focus from the middle to the end, and that's something we need to evaluate," Joaquin said in a PBSI statement.
Echoing Joaquin, Raymond admitted that he lacked focus and often lost his rhythm in the middle of the game.
