Footage from the official Saudi news channel Al-Ekhbariya showed Trump being welcomed at Al-Yamamah Palace, where the US and Saudi national anthems were played.
Trump exchanged words with bin Salman, drank the famous Saudi coffee, and shook hands with a number of officials before the start of a bilateral summit between the two sides, according to the same source.
The channel reported that the summit between Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince will include "discussing political, economic, investment, and security issues."
She explained that Trump's accompanying delegation includes the world's most prominent business leaders, in addition to a number of American officials.
On Tuesday morning, Trump arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, where he was received by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Footage broadcast by the official channel showed Saudi fighter jets escorting Trump's presidential plane through the kingdom's airspace before it landed at the airport.
This tour will continue from May 13 to 16 and will also include Qatar and the UAE, according to a previous statement by the US State Department.
During its meeting on Monday, the Saudi Cabinet, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, welcomed Trump's visit, expressing hope that it would contribute to strengthening cooperation and strategic partnership between the two friendly countries, in a way that serves their common interests and vision.
The US President described his visit to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar as "historic" at a press conference he held at the White House prior to his departure for Riyadh.
Later on Tuesday, Trump will attend a luncheon with Saudi CEOs, hold bilateral meetings, and sign agreements at the Royal Court.
Trump is also expected to deliver a speech at the Saudi-US Investment Forum, followed by a tour of the historic Diriyah district and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of At-Turaif, before concluding the day with dinner with the Crown Prince.
On Wednesday, Trump will join GCC leaders for the fifth Gulf-US summit in Riyadh, according to Saudi media.
The summit is expected to witness important discussions on several issues, including the Palestinian issue, in addition to regional security, economic issues, and sustainable development.
During his first term, Trump visited Saudi Arabia in 2017, met with King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and participated in a summit in Riyadh.
Trump had previously announced his intention to make Saudi Arabia the first stop on his foreign visits after assuming the presidency last January. However, unforeseen circumstances forced him to alter his itinerary. In April, he participated in the funeral of Pope Francis, held in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican.
